Do you sometimes feel exhausted when you're racing around trying to meet everyone else's needs that you get lost in the shuffle?

Mother's Day is a great time to make it your special day. So... what's on your wish list.
[Good Vibes]
What would you REALLY like for Mother's Day?

Is it...

Flowers

Godiva Chocolates

Manicure/Pedicure

A long undisturbed soak in the tub with your favorite body wash and candle.

A full time cleaning person.

Be able to finish a meal and conversation without needing to be the referee. [Boggled]

Breakfast in bed - or out to a restaraunt

Hugs, Kisses and loving words and thankful acknowledgement for all the blood, sweat and tears, not to mention the endless loads of laundry that you gave from your heart.

Be able to finish a decent adult conversations on the phone without being interrupted by the rising screams between siblings or the endless questions in your other ear. [Roll Eyes]

A couple hours at the spa

To get to sleep through the night - 7 hours would be awesome!

Personally, I'd love to have the whole list together, but I don't quite see that happening [laughing] so... I think I'd go for the uninterrupted bath time which is right up there with the hugs, kisses and appreciation for all that I do. [yes]

What about you? What is on YOUR wish List??

oh, man. Two weekdays at a spa would be heaven. But I'd settle for one or two of the projects that never get done around here -- there are some Ikea shelves that have been a floor sculpture for almost a year, and I'd love some under-cabinet kitchen lighting.

we'll see....

get the day off of work so i could spend it with my daughter... [Frown] it's quite alright, though, since i'll be home fairly early. [Big Grin]

i would love to just spend time with her and her father... as a family. things are just a bit more complicated than that.

um.... i'm not expecting anything. just some good time with my daughter would make me really happy, especially on that special day.

Very good question. After I pondered long on separating what I want in the short term (more time in the garden) from what I would appreciate as a mother, I discovered I had it, a wonderful daughter I will spend the day with. I feel truly blessed. [yes]

I was thinking about this very topic this morning! Moms are often so busy taking care of everyone else that we forget to give ourselves the same kind consideration! My thought this morning was that Mother's Day is a great reminder for all of us hard working women/moms to give ourselves a present! Tressa's list is terrific! I suggest that everyone pick one item from that list, or something special that you love that Tressa didn't think of, and plan a day (probably not today, because Mother's Day is usually way too busy!) to give it to yourself! [cloud9]
If we don't take care of ourselves, who will???
With warmest Mother's Day wishes for all women/moms of the world,
MaryAnne [grouphug]

I have so many wishes...but there's one thing that I really wish for:

Sleep in with my husband while my boys (2 & 5) fix their own breakfast on a Sunday morning! [yes]

That won't happen for a long time, so this year besides getting my dream dishwasher stainless steel inside and out [Good Vibes] I'm looking forward to spend the day with my 3 men [Big Grin]

Dental mom, the only woman in the house! [Wave]

Sleep. Not the light kind in which you can hear your baby roll over and wonder if he's still breathing. And not the kind in which you wake up and find yourself breastfeeding the back of your baby's head. And not the kind in which you lay in bed and worry becuase you are so exhausted but have a record repeating in your head "I should be sleeping!"

I want REAL sleep....crawl into a soft bed with a down comforter, flannel sheets, laying diagonal on the bed, no light in the room, and no need to wake up until I am recharged. Whew...it brings a tear to my eye just dreaming about it. [Tired]
