Aaaaah! Finals start on Monday! We have a total of 9 tests in 5 days next week. 6 of those tests are comprehensive and one other might as well be comprehensive. I don’t think there is any way to adequately prepare for it all, even though I’ve been working on it for 3 weeks already. Unfortunately, we had new lectures all the way through today, so we really couldn’t get through all of it in advance. To give you an idea of what my week will be like, here’s my finals schedule:
Monday:
10:00 – noon: clinical skills lecture exam and OMT lecture exam (both given at the same time)
3:30 – ???: clinical skills lab exam
Tuesday:
10:00 – noon: neuroanatomy lecture exam
2:00 – 4:00ish: neuroanatomy lab exam (slides and wetlab)
Wednesday:
9:00 – 11:00: medical information systems (epidemiology)
1:30 – ???: OMT lab exam
Thursday:
1:00 – 3:00: parasitology exam
Friday:
10:00 – 1:00: renal and gastrointestinal physiology exam
I’m most concerned about neuroanatomy. The final lecture/lab exam is worth 40% of our semester grade, so most everyone’s grade in there is in limbo to a certain extent. Everything else should be okay, although it is mathematically possible for me to hurt my grades if I’m not prepared. Basically, I’ll be living at school from today through the end of finals next Friday. That said, I’d better be off to study.
