I have just over 2 weeks until school starts.
The school sent out some information about orientation,
and I already have my first med school-kid conflict. The school has scheduled
a dinner for us on the first night of orientation, which is also when my daughter's
school has their orientation. I'm sure this is just the beginning of scheduling
conflicts, but at least my husband is ready to take up the slack.
My orientation week is going to include a wide variety
of activities: introductions to all of the classes, computer/library training,
Basic Life Support training/certification, health exam, and meals provided by
various clubs on campus. The week ends with our white coat ceremony
then
we're "officially" medical students!
I'm trying to pull things together so that I'll be ready
to start. I got my first pair of scrubs a few days ago and I've gotten a couple
of the textbooks (got used ones really cheap). For now, though, I'm more concerned
about getting miscellaneous home and family things done while I still have time.
We'll see how far I get!
