My best friend lost her baby at 39 weeks. Placental Abruption... she went to the hospital thinking she was going to deliver normally, only to find that that her daughter had no heartbeat and probably hadn't for at least a day or two. Gut wrenching.

I would have to go with program ONE. Family and support is HUGELY important in residency no matter what you pick. If you can be near family/friends it is a major PLUS as you do not know what life will bring ie how much you will need them. Good luck.
