Hey guys...I'm not sure whether or not this is the right place to add this, Sethina...but we have recently opened up a career center for physician spouses....(medicalspouse.org)

We're currently in the process of adding recruiting companies to the list. This project is in the beginning stages, but I hope that a year from now we'll have a large selection of jobs listed and registered job seekers.

If any of you guys have spouses that are about to begin looking for a job send them our direction. We'll try and find a recruiter that supplies the type of positions that they are looking for. We currently have "The Alliance" registered with us and a healthcare professions recruiter is also in the process of doing the same.

This is a free service to both the spouses and the recruiters. We are not a for-profit site and our only goal is to support spouses of med students, residents, fellows and attending docs...

Just wondering - how would you post a job on your website? I will be looking to hire someone for a great job at UT Southwestern sometime this summer - a spouse would be great.

It's pretty easy...just register to get a username...and go to the career center and activate your employer status. This is in the beginning stages and we are slowly building up a database of jobs (right now we have several med-tech/nursing jobs in CA listed) and posted CVs. If you end up having a job opening, we'll also pass it along in our print newsletter and to any spouses in the area that we have on our list who are interested.
