Have you found an online resource that you want to share with other medical students? Here is a convenient place to add your links. Put a link to it (must include the www part to work) and a brief description.

This is the only place in the forums where commercial entities can post a brief link and BRIEF description of their resource. In return we ask that you please consider advertising on MomMD (www.mommd.com/advertising.shtml) AND YOU MUST place a reciprocal link to MomMD as follows:

MomMD - Association, magazine and online community for women physicians, medical students and premeds.
Linked to www.mommd.com

Look forward to finding some great online resources!

I'm taking my neuroanatomy test this week (um, today actually, why aren't I studying?) and was sent this GREAT website that has animated self-quizzes on all of the different cranial nerve and sensory pathways in the brainstem/cortex.

I just googled this website when i was trying to figure out Nervous System stuff. It is fantastic!

http://www.studystack.com/java-studysta/...575?reloading=1

that will take you right there -- I think you could also go to www.studystack.com and navigate your way there.

Hi, I've been off MomMD for a while, but it's great to be back...

Just thought I'd put in a plug for a piece I put together for AMSA. It's my take on "Juggling Med School and Motherhood," but I'm sure any number of you MomMDers could have written a better guide...

http://www.amsa.org/advocacy/wim/2005JugglingMedSchoolandMotherhood.doc

Please let me know if I missed anything glaringly obvious! :scratchchin:

best,

Jen

Textbook prices can be outrageous. I had great luck finding books on half.com.

1. Chemistry (I and O), Physiology (mammilian),Pharmacology, Toxicology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Genetics (basic) - http://cool.mcgill.ca/

2.Histology and Pathology - http://pathguy.com/histo/000.htm

3. Physics for high school review - http://www.physicsclassroom.com/Default2.html and for college review - http://courses.dce.harvard.edu/~physe1b/

4. For surgeon hopefuls, like myself, to quench your thirst and to offer a noble excuse for procrastination. (Sorry I'm runnig late, I "was exptected" to observe in the removal of an acoustal neuroma....OH YEAH BABY ) a wonderful site where you can observe surgical procedures. http://www.or-live.com/

5. And for MCAT practice http://www.princetonreview.com/medical/testprep/testprep.asp?TPRPAGE=82&type=MCA T-TRY&adcode=7911

6. Another for MCAT http://www.e-mcat.com/

7. To get a better idea (only after viewing sites 1 and 2 above) of what the limited time frame is for learning material and what medschool students are speaking of when they say they are overwhelmed, I recommend the following site http://www.neoucom.edu/Students/ProfDev/PeerMentorResources/

8. For those asking me about anatomy I use the mlissa link above, thanks Melissa great site!!

(Site 7 above is "public access" by clicking on current students) clicking on the menu at right will show the course of study in detail, and show what is learned within each semseter. This is not the current schedule as explained on site, but brings light to the expression "being hit with a fire hose of informaton."

ENJOY ladies!!! and bless you in your decision/preparation
