Thank you all for your comments and support during this difficult time. I appreciate your help and am touched by the huge response. It reinforces my hope in humanity that strangers reach out to others in need.

After taking a time-out to rest and retreat, I decided to have the baby AND go to med school. My husband even started to come around to the idea.

Unfortunately, since the big decision, I have had a miscarriage. As you can imagine, it is a very difficult time. I wish I did not have such terrible news to share....but think it is important to let you all know.
