Hi Everyone,

I have a question for the medical students here.
I have a BS in Computer Science (4 year degree)from Open University (UK). This is not an online
degree. I had to go for lectures and tutorials
like any other school, while working full-time.
I've worked for 2 years now in IT.
My first love was always medicine.
Now I wish to change careers to medicine.
I'm thinking of taking Bio, Chem, OrgoChem, Physics and Calculus at a community college
and then transfering to a 4 yr state university
(within california) to do a MS in Biological Sciences. I wish to take the MCAT after graduating. My question is, is this a viable
route to medical school? Are there any medical students here who have done their undergraduate degree entirely at an Open University? Also
is it possible to work part-time while in medical school?
