Hi everyone,
I am loving this sight and getting great advice so thanks!!! I am currently a third year just starting my ob/gyn rotation and I feel completely lost. The residents I am teamed with are not doing a great job of explaining things and expect us to just know how to deliver a baby or know the different instruments used for a section, etc. I'm wondering if any of you out there have suggestions of some great books that might help catch me up on procedures or what instruments are what...maybe something with pictures. I have Beckman which is great but doesn't have the above type of info. If anyone could help I'd appreciate it.
Thanks to all!!!

If you want to learn the instruements the person to talk to is the scrub tech. They can show you everything in about 10 minutes. In third year you are notreally expected to know anything so don't stress too much about it. Ask lots of questions if you don't know. You have to be your own advocate on rotations and be responsible for your own learning, remember that the residents are caught up in their own responsibilities need to be prodded to teach.
