I'd start in the beginning. Take Bio (for bio majors) and Chem (for Chem majors) and whatever math you can handle. You'll need to take gen ed stuff (like a writing class and a humanities class) Generally you need basic (for majors) Bio 1 and 2 which usually run 1 in the fall and 2 the following spring. Same with Chem. Next year you can take biochem and organic, ecology, your advisor should help you with course selection.

Look up the requirements in the medical schools you want to attend. They usually post them somewhere.

You should be able to handle two science classes. The suggested schedule for bio majors at my school for first semester was bio, chem, calc, and English.

Also, plan the prereq's around when you want to take the MCAT. I took physics spring semester freshman year and fall semester sophomore year (I go to a predominately engineering school- that's when all my friends were taking it) I was done with all the prereqs in two years and should have taken the MCAT at that time (I would have if I had known I wanted to go to med school!) I'm taking it this August, about a year an a half after I finished those courses, so it's a bit tough.

The only other suggestion is to definately have taken all prereqs before you apply- most med schools will say it's okay if you plan to take some but haven't yet, but good grades for prereqs will certainly look much better.

This really depends on what your major is, and what sort of AP credit or other credit you might have. Bio, Chem, English, and Calc is pretty generic. If you already have AP English and Calc credits, then that wouldn't apply to you. If you already have AP chem credit, then consider an upper-level inorganic chem.

If you're a language major, you probably need a language class. If you're a business major, you'll need a business class. etc, etc. Really, the best thing to do is to talk to an advisor in your major. If you don't have a personal advisor yet, send an email or set up an appointment with your school's premedical advisor.

I do agree with the above posters that two lab classes is very doable. I've had three at a time before, but you start to feel like your life isn't your own at that point.
