One of the things that is stopping into going to medical school is my worry as to what will happen afterwards. Has there been any unsuccesful doctors out there??? After being in school for 10 or so years...what are the chances that a doctor will not make good with the outside world. I know some doctors work in hospitals or for those with some means open their won clinics...IT IS VERY COMPETETIVE OUT THERE!!! and there are so many doctors?? Have you heard of some doctors who just settle and what is their salary??? Is it a lot less than the other doctors? I am scared becuase I am 28 currently settled financial as a registered nurse and will be taking my boards to be a full pledge nurse practitioner....I am planning to go to premed soon but the possibility of not being successful post residency or fellowship scares the ...out of me.. Either go to medical school or stay with my current position....I really do not know and I am scared. Can anybody help????
