Thanks! You made me smile and feel a little better. I'll let you know what the RE says.

I know how you are feeling. I finally got my period this morning. I am very glad I drank last night. I needed it. Ice cream and wine go well together. well maybe you have a longer luteal phase. Hang on you will get your answer: either in the form of a period or a pregnancy. I hope for the second. Just like you told me it isn't over till its over. You still have hope for this cycle. I am pinning my hopes on the RE and cipro for my husband's chronic prostatitis. I hope you get your answer one way or another :boggled:

I just got back from the RE. I love him .He spent over 45 minutes with me. I am a go for this month. He says my DH sperm is ok. Good count, morphology and motility. I had a normal us today and I start meds on wed. Clomid, estrace and repronex(sq) Us on 11th and if it looks good IUI on the 13th. I am feeling better and actually feeling a little hopeful.

drvicky, good luck with your new cycle. That's great that everything is good with your husband. I hope that with a great RE you will have success! I love my RE too, and I think that's so important.
GatsbyJo, this whole thing is so frustrating, isn't it? I hope you know what's going on soon.
I got my results from yesterday's hcg level. It was 82. I thought I was only 11 days post ovulation, but that seems a bit high. In any case I'm not sure of my ovulation date, and even if I am only 12 dpo today it's still within normal range, I think.
I've already decided that knowing too much is going to be an issue during this pregnancy. I've promised myself to stay as far away from the embryology book as possible! My husband has promised to just tell me the good stuff :p
Good luck to everybody.

Ackk... still no period! (but, lots of negative hpts).
So. This is what I have gotten from this cycle:
I've got into temping and charting--maybe I'll know more whats going in the future. I've realized how badly I want to be a mother, and how long I'm willing to wait. I've learned that my life is really full as it is, a child would just add to that.
So, its not a total wash!

Wow! the meds for this cycle of combo therapy were very expensive. Over $400 and that is with the hospital getting it at cost for me. i really hate that my insurance doesn't cover any of it.Oh well I guess it is a small price to pay for a baby. Gatsbyjo did you get your period yet?

DrVicky, sorry about the cost of the drugs! In the broad scheme of things, we've all seen drugs that are wayyyy more expensive though.
And I still haven't got my period. I'm worried I just never ovulated and I'm not sure what that implies. I'm not seeing an RE and simply can't afford to. In fact, my OBGyn will only do 3 months (2 more) of clomid before stopping or referring me. I guess my fear is that during the meantime, the years until we can afford higher-tech Tx, my fertility will just decline more. On the brighter side, I am opening a money market account to start deliberately stashing money towards an RE or adoption if need be.

Gatsbyjo, may I ask how old you are? I am 31 and so is my DH. I am also looking into a health savings acct. for the next year to help with expenses. This christmas I am asking everyone for cash. Sounds bad, but I need that more than another sequined sweater from my stepmother:)

I'm 23, DH is 30. I know I'm young, and we are trying to be proactive about this. My mother had me at 20 and could never get pg again. I've also never had regular cycles, and only get my period 1-2 times a year, so I have always known we'd have trouble.
Good call on the health savings account, we should probably look into that too. Its tough though-- we are living on a salary that is very small (DH is in education) and it has taken us a long time to save enough to feel comfortable having a baby. I guess I don't feel like I can dig into that money for treatment until at least residency, when I'll have a salary.
Maybe you could sell your sequined sweater collection on EBay?
