What were/are yours? My first I couldn't stand ANYTHING that had anything to do with onions or garlic. I ate ice cream everyday, it was the only soothing thing for my tummy. Second one I went through a massive GARLIC phase, I couldn't find garlic bread strong enough to please me. I also started eating red meat after 5 years without it when I was pregnant. I could see and smell steak and NEEDED IT. Chunks of it, preferably BBQed..

Anyone else?

In all of my pregnancies I have craved sugar. It doesn't matter what form, and if there is nothing sweet in the house I'll eat it straight from the bag!

Another great topic!

I craved oranges and Cheetos and not necessarily at separate times. I also craved fast food like McDonald's and Burger King (gross, I know) but one time I threw up after eating and all I could think was "good, now I have room for more!". Pregnancy made me absolutely crazy!

Ah, the days of cravings! Being a pseudovegetarian (just not interested in eating meat but not adverse to it for moral reasons), I was surprised when I craved meat during my pregnancy with my first son. I finished a 12 oz. steak while my in-laws looked on in awe! I also remember making a concoction with Prego spaghetti sauce, croutons, and mozzerella cheese that I thought was heavenly. blush

Good god, I had alot of cravings. Off the top of my head: fried zuchini from Carl's Jr. :rotfl: (I would actually dream about it), STRAWBERRIES (I'd go to the local strawberry farmer and buy boxes at a time... so I could finish it myself), popcorn, and salmon.

If I had only those foods to eat for the whole duration of my pregnancy, I probably would've been a very happy woman...

What haven't I craved?? wink
Both pregnancies have had big coke cravings for me. The colder the better. Also this time I had a thing for spaghetti with meat sauce for a couple months, my husband got really tired of it. I also went through a garlic bread phase, so those were great together. :p There was the chocolate phase, the gummy candy phase, and now I am into saltines. I can eat a whole stack (1/4 box!) at a sitting and think nothing of it.

Can't imagine why I have to watch my weight....

I really didn't have a whole lot of cravings. The only thing I ever felt a strong attraction to was fresh tomatoes; I was about 4 months pregnant, a friend was chopping cherry tomatoes on her cutting board and it was all I could to to keep from grabbing a handful of them. From then on I had to have the expensive vine ripened ones in the house that actually smell like tomatoes. I also ate a lot of Second Breakfasts consisting of eggs, hashbrown, biscuits and gravy, things like that (aahhh, for military chow hall breakfasts! all that for forty cents!).

For all 3 of my pregnancies (2 unsuccessful), it was eggs at first. Eggs, turkey bacon, and cheese on bagels, specifically. When my third pregnancy made it, it was SALT. Pickles, chips, pretzels, burritos with salsa, anything. One day I came home from my rotation and had a lunch consisting of a bag of barbecued potato chips, 2 huge dill pickles, and a caffeine-free Coke and thought it was divine!

From mid-pregnancy on it was Vanilla Coke. During labor I begged for one (have it on videotape). After my C-section I continued begging and my husband bought me one from the hospital cafeteria, which I gulped down and then promptly threw up thanks to Fentanyl. *sigh*
But, even briefly, it was worth it.

My number one aversion? Mexican food.
