I was wondering if you had sex the last day of your period, could you get pregnant?

Just a reminder that we do not allow medical advice on the forums. I know this isn't exactly medical advice, but just so others can see, we are not held liable for any advice given here.

I thought that there are some women who also may ovulate again during their periods? Perhaps that is my 7th grade misinformation that I assumed was fact and never checked out laugh Does anybody know if that is true?

Recent research shows that women can ovulate at any time during their cycle (sorry I have no citation on this, but I read it!)... why some women have trouble conceiving with the traditional approach to counting days. Also why the rhythm method is not that great. smile

my friend who teaches natural family planning would tell you that it is possible to ovulate during your period. Plus, it's entirely possible that the original poster (who I don't think is a practicing physician) could misinterpret mid-cycle bleeding as her "period."
