I know nothing of Florida, but where I live (Massachusetts) subspecialists are in such short supply that they get to pick and chose where and how much they WANT to work. I know of one Pediatric Neurologist who works PT. Remember, you have a valuable skill set. Market yourself and settle for nothing less than what you want to do (ie. insist on working PT if this is what you want to do). It should not be your burden, your employer should be eager to have you, even if just PT. You may find that private practices are somewhat more flexible than hospital owned practices, in my experience this is true. Best of luck and let us know how you make out!
