We have 3 cats, 3 baby turtles (I know I know, gotta wash up well after handling... ), and used to have quite a few birds (lovebirds, cockatiels, finches, canaries and even a pair of white doves that had been retired from a magic show :boggled:

I love my doggie children, Alex (4 y.o. yellow lab) and Libby (2 y.o. black lab)!

They're expensive (they've got some itching thing that the vet can't figure out and they've been to the vet 6 times!!) and time consuming. I can't imagine having real kids!

I have 2 cats which I love dearly. One is 7 years old, Iris, and the other is a kitten, Onyx, 4 months old. Cats are weird and interesting animals!

Currently, we are owned by a 1 year old mixed breed (mostly golden retriever and lab mix, we think)who was abandoned near the road where we live. For the first month or so after he "landed" near our development, we think that at least half of development was feeding him. The owner of the marina next door called the animal control officer to have him carted off and we "volunteered" to take him in. We call him "Augie," not after the cartoon character, but after a gastroenterologist that I used to know! He's a doll!

We have a zoo. One cocker spaniel, one mostly siamiese cat( gorgeous blue eyes), and a bunch of fish. Not to mention my three rugrats. My dog and cat don't realize that they are not kids. And half of the time I have at least one kid meowing or barking! :rotfl:

Yesterday I woke up to my cat repeatedly sliding across my coffee table. crazy cat!!!

I live in a studio apartment that do not allow any dogs. Cats are permitted, but I feel it's way too small of a space for them - I think they'd go crazy! So, a few years ago, I decided to get a mouse to keep me amused. I walked into the pet store and I saw dwarf hamsters and that immediately stole my heart. I started with one dwarf hamster for a while - but as of now I have four hamsters of my own (three dwarfs, one Syrian) plus I foster a few rescues.

A requirement of my apartment during med school will be that it must allow cats. I've lived too long without one (4 years..sniff sniff).

i have a dog named page e wu. i got her my senior year of college, and now she is almost 4 years old. she's a little princess (note the lounging in the sun with head on two pillows), and provides us with hours and hours of laughs. the "wu" in my screen name comes from her name.

The new addition to our "family" is Sally the cat. She's a dark gray persian and was given to my daugher and I by my fiance'. She's absolutely adorable and now my daugher doesn't talk to her Bratz dolls as much! smile

seven year old boy to his dad: "we have FIFTY SEVEN pets"!!!!! our kitty buttermilk we rescued at the park in December, we're making his birthday September 11 so there will be something nice that day. The other 56 are
tadpoles, someday to be bullfrogs and OUTSIDE pets!

Dad was reluctant to get a pet (he's a pediatrician and can be a worry wart about cat scratch fever, toxo, allergies........) now he won't get up from the couch if the cat is in his lap. Buttermilk is good for our family. cool

Hi,
I do not have any human kids, but I have 3 furry kids for sure! Two cats, my female is Avery, and my other is Julius Aurelius Pliny Secundus Caesar but Julius or JooJooBee for short. I have a one year old puppy who is a mix between a Dachsund and a Cairn Terrier, his name is Nairobi(my ex husband was from Kenya). He's a sweet little puppy. He gets separation anxiety and rips up the carpet I have to pay 2000 dollars to replace the carpet in my last apartment and now he just ripped up a part in my 2nd bedroom in my new apt!! Does anyone know what I can do about this or have you ever experienced this? (Sorry to get off topic). Love my pets!!

The name Buttermilk is really sweet.

Right now, I feeling extremely hungover becasue Sally the cat kept waking me up every hour or so last night for "conversation". She had plenty of food and water and a claen littler box so I'm not sure what the problem was (maybe I did't talk to her enough when I came home last night). Anyway, when I tried to sleep in an extra hour, she kept jumping on my pillow to wake me up. I finally had to close my bedroon door, but of course that was 15 mins before the alarm clok went off mad :cloud9:

Lara and Misa, my daughter's two little kittens (now grown up) that we retrieved from the animal shelter - the source for my web name in fact.
