Hi, my sister and I are both MD's, and I'm posting on her behalf. She is currently struggling emotionally and professionally near the end of her plastics residency (1.5 years to go). For reasons I won't go into to protect her privacy, all I can say now is that she is considering dropping out of the residency program. She is getting counseling and therapy, but I think she also really needs a female Plastics mentor to help her feel more excited about the light at the end of the tunnel, which has all but gone out for her, despite terrific talent as a surgeon and years of determination to get her this far. Can someone out there either serve as a mentor or refer someone who can? Thanks!!!!!
