Hi Everyone,

I have been lurking for a while and finally decided to re-introduce myself. I am 29 years old and I will be starting my 3rd year of Medical school this fall. My husband and I do not have children yet, but hope to in the near future. For the time being, I have a small business that I consider my baby. I have no idea how I will maintain my business during rotations, but I'm optimistic!

Reading everyone's posts on this message board has been inspiring! I look forward to chatting with all of you.

I have a small web design and word processing business that I started while on leave from school. Do you have a business as well? If you are a medical student and have a business as well, I would love to know how you manage both school and business. Any advice is appreciated.

Hi, I was just wondering. I just began a medical transcription course to do medical transcription while I go to school. I have 2 little babies to take care of, so I need to be able to have some income on the side. I just quit my full time job because it was getting too hard to go to school, work full time and not see my kids that much. I am just always looking for ways to stay home and take care of my boys rather than work outside the home.
I can't really give you advice on working and medical school, I am not there yet. I am still working on my undergrad degree. I do know that I hope to do medical transcription from home. I think that doing that will help me in the long run with medical school.
