I am a 35-year-old mom of four, ages 4-9. My dream has always been to be a doctor. I have some college credits and have been working as a medical transcriptionist for several years. I would love to hear from others who got late starts in their careers and/or did it with a big family. Does anyone think I can still realistically go for it? I see so many obstacles, but I do want it soooo much!

Yes it is possible albeit with a lot of hard work. It will be even more difficult with small ones but yes, you can do it. You really do need a very supportive spouse that is willing and will pick up the slack when the need arises. You will have to more than likely complete a B.A or B.S and make sure that the pre-reqs are included in that coursework before you take the MCAT.
