Hi to all,
Does anyone have any idea what an average score on the diagnostic kaplan test? In another post some said they got a 25 so "had a long way to go" and I was thinking that a 25 was pretty darn good. I got a 19 and was thinking I should bow out then. Any thoughts?

I read that post too, and I thought the same thing you did. I have read posts, and know people who didnt do so great on their diagnostics scores and scored decently on the MCAT. So no, dont bail out now!

I agree don't bail out. I also scord a 19 taking the diagnostic cold. But the more practice I do the more confident I become. I am learning to look at the MCAT with new eyes. Examkrackers has helped alot

Thanks for the encouraging words. I am hanging in there with hopes of increasing that "bad boy".

Thanks again.

Don't bow out - but realize that getting from 19 to 25 isn't too bad. Getting from 25 to 30 takes exponential effort. If you are not doing anything else this summer, you might have enough time. If you are working and/or taking classes it will be more difficult. Good luck and study hard :-)

Definitely DO NOT think twice about your Kaplan diagnostic scores.

I swear to you, I think I got 12 on their diagnostic test...3 months later I scored well above the 30 I was shooting for, and was accepted to every school to which I'd applied. SO (based on anecdotal evidence smile ...) DEFINITELY do not read too much into the diagnostic. You will learn TONS throughout the course and get better with each test.

BEST OF LUCK!

Hopefully I didn't sound too negative -- Def. your diagnostic will be low if you are going in cold. It will go up as you put the work in. I think their program is very good for getting rid of test anxiety and helping to pace your way though the test. Just put in as much time as you possibly can, and you will see a big difference. My end score did go up from my diagnostic (though not as dramatically as flashMDs) - and my actual score was within one point of my last practice test -- so pretty accurate for me.

Thanks you guys. I am thinking that it's hard for me to feel good about it (the whole course) because I am finding it very hard to just stay caught up with the reading, let alone feel confident that I actually know the material. I will just keep on plugging and hope for the best. Thanks again.
