OK, so am I really the only one who went to this utterly fantastic event? Lots of Med Students For Choice and Law Students for Choice there too, btw (incl. "your future abortion provider" giant puppets and one law student carrying a "Future Supreme Court Justice for Choice" sign"). Some very funny t-shirts, buttons and signs, a lot of spontaneous creativity, a lot of highschool kids (girls and boys). Friendly strangers from everywhere. A very 70s feel, but without the drugs, if you can imagine that. Whole thing was very goodnatured, which was a good thing, because the Mall was crowded enough that we'd have been in trouble had anything unpleasant broken out. Very well-organized, too -- it took me about an hour to wade through all the people, but I had no trouble finding the group that I'd wanted to meet up with.
