I had a phone conversation with a MSII relative....my husband insisted I ask him about Cytomel for my thyroid. I didn't want to, but did. And boy, do I regret it now! mad
I gave him my whole thyroid history, Rx's, etc. I told him that my synthroid was tripled and I still don't feel 100% I'm still having fatigue and poor concentration. So he told me that based on what I'm telling him, that I should go see a Psychiatrist! Yup, the guy told me that my problem is depression
If he only knew what is to live like this every day! :censored:

Hmmm, you don't seem depressed to me! laugh Maybe he is just learning about depression in school right now and hasn't gotten to endocrinology yet. Stick with the endo you trust, and I hope you feel better soon!

Just because he is an MSII does not mean that he/she knows what they are talking about like in this case...duh. Do not go asking for advice to medical students unless they are almost done to avoid issues like these. Good luck with your health problems!

MSII's don't know anything about anything. Heck as an MSIV I really don't know anything either. Bad form on your dh's part. Plus you don't even get into endo until second semester of second year. Stay with your "real" doctor, they should know what they are doing. Good luck

His mom had thyroid cancer few months ago and he told us that he became crazy about the whole thing and read & studied the thyroid a lot...so that's why m,y dh wanted me to ask him :boggled: I'm so mad. I just told my mother in law and she she said, oh that kid knows nothing! :rotfl:

Thank you for your replies laugh

Kathie, you are so humble when you said you don't know much smile

Love you all, and please keep us in your prayers.
Not only are we getting hit by hurricane Wilma tonight, but we are also in tornado watch!

I'll be back in few days when the power comes back again :weeping:
