I am thinking about starting m journey to med school. Still need to get my B.S. When I was younger 10 yrs of school used to overwhelm me! Now that I've been married almost 10 yrs with 3 children it doesn't seem like very long at all! I have read many postings most of them overwhelmed and discouraged with med school and residency, some of them not even enjoying their work after graduation-complaining of malpractice insurance costs.

My question is, is it really that bad? Is the info interesting? Do you enjoy the process of going to med school/residency?

I have a friend who is a NP (recently had her second child and is overwhelmed) She told me that raising children has got to be the absolute hardest thing she has ever done! Yet she made it through school easily ....Maybe that is because she hasn't actually gone to med school! Point being, it must be different for everyone because my problems seem opposite to hers. Raising children is easy, school seems overwhelming.

Does anyone have any feedback/advice on how to make the decision?

Thank you!
