I am taking Physics II right now and studying for the mcat. My 2 month old son and his 19 month old brother have decided to start going to bed at 1am every night so life is a little hectic. I'm very excited to apply to med schools this June. Okay, older son crying so more later!

I have a test tomorrow so of course both kids are sick with colds. I took Mies to medical genetics today for his check-up. They seemed surpised he was growing so well. I don't know which of his conditions is supposed to make him not grow well. They want to do another MRI in June. I don't know if I should subject him to it or not. The MRI is to look further into his brain: he has microcephaly and a non-contrast MRI last June (when he turned one) showed some "possible mild cortical dysplasia" which means the layers of his brain arent formed correctly. The thing is, he's smart as anything, not behind in his development other than minor speech delays normal in boys. They want to a do a contrast MRI now. I feel bad putting him through it but they want to send the MRI results to the doctor in Chicgao who is a micro/lissencephaly expert. Hmmm. They took blood and urine to test his galactose levels (galacatosemia). I hope they're down. We didn't have the usual phlebotomist and the sub was terrible. BOth his arms are bruised. He screamed which he doesnt normally do.

I'm feeling more nervous about getting into med school. My overall numbers are good but I have some red flags and I am afraid med schools may look upon them more harshly than I was thinking. Past catches up with you. Gotta go, mies crying.
