lyn-

I love that age smile so exciting and everything is fascinating to them!

We found out today we are having a little girl- so cute! We had our 20 week u/s last week, and she was moving so much it was hard to get any decent shots! So being the impatient woman I am, we went in to a private place today to find out gender.

It was probably the most relaxing u/s I have ever had- knowing that MFM had gone through the 20 week u/s and felt everything looked great just made it a very enjoyable experience- I wasn't searching for something to be wrong the entire scan.

As much as I don't *love* being pregnant, seeing your little one on the screen is one of those true joys in life. Kind of sad this will be my last, but she will be smile

Okay, off to finish studying for my last final of M1 tomorrow morning... SO excited!!!!

Yes, as in TOMORROW and nooooothing is happening so far. Daughter #1 came 17 days early, so this little one is totally messing with my head. I'm convinced I'm not actually pregnant anymore.

Gosh, I totally love the 20w u/s, too! Seriously one of the highlights of a pregnancy. Congrats on having a girl! Daughters are the best if I do say so myself. wink

I am 19 w 2 days, and we have our 20 w u/s tomorrow (husband has a difficult work schedule). We did an early gender ultrasound, so we know we are already having a little boy, but we are so excited to see his bigger self (early was at 16 weeks) on the screen! Finding out early was so helpful, because since this is my MS1/MS2 summer off - I've gotten a lot of stuff done on his room etc.

I don't hate being pregnant so much anymore, but my changing "side effects" are interesting. I have the appetite of a truck driver, and despite second trimester being something I'm supposed to have more energy in - I seem sleepy and need naps every day. This is not boding well for third trimester, but I stuck it out through first with school going on, so I imagine I can muscle through that.

We are so excited to meet our little man, and I am counting down the days til Dec. 5! I am hoping he decides to join us for Thanksgiving, but if he doesn't - I'm ready to roll with the punches.

Asunshine - I hope your little one comes soon! How exciting that it could be any second!

Best wishes everyone on your pregnancies - so neat to see everyone advancing!

Oh, asunshine, I think I would lose it if I were in your shoes! The tricks our children play on us!

Sending you fast, painless (well, as painless as possible) labor wishes!

Southern- I was feeling the same way last trimester. I kept thinking, I can do this, no problem. Unfortunately, the third trimester started and I feel like I got kicked! Totally tired, trying desperately to finish up my research project, and now the whole family has a nasty summer cold. Like, ear infections, bronchitis, pink eye infested colds. Ugh!

But, only 66.5 more days. I can do this- I may sleep through half of it, but I can do it!

SW to MD - I fell asleep this a.m. from about 9 to 11, and then again from about 7:30 or 8 to 10 tonight. Third tri is going to be so hard if second tri is like this! This is ridiculous!

Positive note - my little one is normal in all his measurements, but so far is looking to be a rather small baby, which makes sense as my husband and I were both ~ 7 lbs and not huge. YAY! Happy for a momma-to-be to hear! The all-is-normal part and the smaller part!!! It was so fun to see him again. He was upside down today and his little legs extend so far now! I loved it!

Congratulations!!!!

I recommend the book "The Essential C-section Guide" for recovery- it gives some exercises that can be done even in the hospital to help with strengthening and works it up throughout the recovery period.

Enjoy- little girls are awesome!
