We just completed a poll to learn what fraction of medical professionals is paid by pharmaceutical companies to attend meetings. You can see the results of the poll at: Physicians & Pharma.

Obviously this is common practice, and well regulated.

Nonetheless, the basic question remains: Do you think the net effect of this type of marketing is beneficial or are the educational benefits outweighed by possible biases introduced by marketing efforts?
