Hi there, anybody else trying for their first baby? Just curious. My DH and I are in our fifth month of trying and I just started medical school. I'm feeling a little more relaxed about now that I know a little more about what to expect. We can't wait! Hopefully it will happen soon. smile

I personally have 5 weeks/5 days until my due date, but I think a chunk of my class has been trying!

We came into med school with ~12-15 children already, 2 babies were born this summer, and there is literally a baby due every month that we know of through March! We are the first class at our school to have this many children of medical students, so it will be interesting to see if there are any changes or adjustments made to policies as the year goes on. In general, they have been really flexible and great, but there is always room for improvement wink

Good luck! Wishing you a M1 summer baby!!!

Wow, SW to MD, that is so different from my medical school (many years ago). It will be interesting to see how the school handles it. They pretty much have to be family-friendly because all the parents can band together and have a real voice.

Good luck, mdstudent 14, I hope it all works out.

Planning to start trying in November. Rumor is they won't let us do gross anatomy while pregnant, so I'm aiming for the day after the final. wink

The good news is, this is the second day of school and I've already heard multiple times from faculty about how family friendly this place is, and how many people extend their schooling into 5 years with no problems. They pretty much have a system in place for it. I might not want to extend my education, but I'm very happy to be at a place that is so accepting of it!

Yay, Melbelle! Hopefully it won't take long for either of us! I definitely understand how difficult it is to wait. My husband and I decided last year to try for a baby before school started (we ended up having an early miscarriage). Since it didn't work out, we decided to wait through the year until this summer so I wouldn't have to try to juggle so many new things at once. I've heard a lot of family-friendly talk here too, so hopefully we'll both have good support! Anyways, good luck!! I'm always around if you want to chat about TTC. smile
