hi ladies,

I have not been on this site for about 3years alot has happen since then. I will be 27years old this summer. My son will be 9 years old next month and I recently got married. A month ago 3 of my H oldest kids came to live with us from another state and that has been kind of hard:( My overall gpa is like <2.0 I think...its a long story....I have about 10W's. Last summer I graduate from a Medical Assisting program (4.0 gpa) but i know that dont count towards my overall gpa. I work at a clinic and the Hospital.

I have taken chemisty I about 3x....W,F,D....I dont know what to do anymore. I have about 40,000 student loans already and I have only 40-50 college credits:(. I dont not want to do nursing. I have looked into PA school but i now I will have to do a post bac and it is sooo hard to get in. I am just going to go back in the fall and work on my psychology degree and try to finish my BA at least and work on my math skills which holded me in chemsitry.

I just need some support right now bc i am soo ready to give up.....I feel like I have the worst case in history:(

I wouldn't say you need to give up because I don't personally believe in that if it's something you really want to do. But you do need to be realistic about your goals and how your current life fits in with those goals.

Being a Step Mom is difficult and I know from experience, but a StepMom of 3 kids is a LOT, not to mention you're raising your own child too.

I think if I were you I'd back burner the med school idea until you get used to the dynamics of your new life. I'd also "distance" myself from the poor grades by taking at least a year off from taking ANY degree related classes. Taking some basic math classes is probably a good idea because it can keep you on track to your ultimate goal without being too much on your busy life.

You've got a LOT on your plate, so taking your time and doing things right is the best way to go!

The above is really good advice. Take a break from school for awhile - get used to the new family dynamics. I think some distance from things might help you figure out your best path also.
