So I never really thought I had anything to worry about when it came to my 1 hour sugar test. I walk and do light weights everyday. I'm 27 weeks and have only gained about 10 lbs all together and I had a BMI between 23 and 24 before pregnancy. So when they called and said my sugar was a bit high and I needed to come in for the 3 hour test all I could do was cry. I know it sounds silly, but I have done everything I can to be healthy and have a healthy pregnancy and I am just hoping the 3 hour turns out negative. I just want to be a good mom and have a healthy happy baby.

You can still have a very healthy pregnancy and healthy baby. Besides - with all the exercise you already have a jump start on controlling GD if you do indeed have it. You can totally do this. Hopefully you won't need to, but your baby can still be healthy and happy.

^Exactly what Melbelle said. You will get through this- and aren't the cutoffs meant to give a higher false positive rate with the 1-hour?

You sound like you have things under control for diet/exercise, so *if* it comes out positive, you will be far ahead of the game.

Good luck with the three hour!

I have three children, my BMI has been between 20 and 23 with all three pregnancies and yet I failed the 1 hour EVERY time. With my third pregnancy my one hour was 265!! Have no fear, each time I did the three hour and each time I passed without a problem. Good thing because I have a MASSIVE sweet tooth :-)
