I had a discussion with my hubby about now how New Years Eve is just another night. I often can't stay up till midnight. We get no invites or can't get a babysitter. What about you? Are you still able to party? Quite content to watch TV?

Still celebrating. Out to dinner with friends then home to watch celebrations on TV. Our town used to have a big music festival on NYE but this year the bank that sponsored it was bought out by Chase, and they're not interested in sponsoring. Bummer.

We often go to my SIL's house; it's 3 sibs + their kids + SOs and the grandparents. We all actually get along really well, so that's the beauty of living near (this particular) family! This year, though, SIL has gone back to nursing and so is working NYE night. So we'll probably sit home and watch TV...no "friends" to speak of, oh well!

I work 8 hours day shift NYE then work 7a-7p on New Years day. Hope I will be able to stay awake until 12:01am. We usually buy sparkling grape juice and bring in the New Years with the kids--they usually have no problem staying up!

We are having an "Around the World" party in my neighborhood. About a half a dozen families and their kids will make a food and drink from a particular country. Then we will go house to house celebrating, eating, drinking and moving to the next house. Should be fun, and a way for all adults and kids to have fun together.

I'll be working the night shift in the ED. Be safe everyone.

We don't have a sitter, so we'll be ringing in the new year at home with the kids. They are all excited about being allowed to stay up late and 'watch the ball drop'.

Hanging out at home with my husband and daughter. We're waaay behind on sleep, so I don't even know if any of us will make it to midnight. *shrug*

We cooked a nice dinner (scallop and corn chowder with molten chocolate cakes for dessert) and are having a '24' marathon.

I had 50 adults and 10 children last night. It was awesome and everybody had a good time

Before 12 a.m. we put 12 grapes in a cup for everyone to make 12 wishes for the new year..by the time we watched the ball dropped in New York, our mouths were still filled of grapes and we all huged and kissed trying to say happy new year But happy and I can't believe how fast 2005 went by!
