That was an interesting article, how TRUE is that! If someone "likes" their doctor, it's usually because she/he gave them the time of day and they do trust the doctor. My doctor makes mistakes all the time, one time he wanted to perscribe me something with Penicillin in it, and I am allergic to it, I just reminded him and he fixed it. I know that he is human..I don't expect perfection from him. But I do expect care and concern, which I get, so I don't have any complaints...wish all docs and patients could be the same way, working together. It sure would make physician's lives SO much easier. There was a quote once, "what are we here on this earth for, if to not make others lives easier...." Something like that. I think some patients just try to be difficult, just to be difficult. Ever met that person that complains, just to complain, constantly! How annoying.

yeah, great article. that made me think of so many doctors who just aren't very personable, don't give patients enough attention or really listen to what they are saying, etc. also made me think of the good ones though, who want to hear the whole story of whatever you've come to them for. for all the mediocre doctors i've seen in terms of patient rapport and communication, this article made me smile because i know i will excel in this aspect of medicine, and i think a lot of the mommd members will as well. it's exciting to know that we will be exceptional.
