I'm a 31 year old psychologist expecting our first child this summer. Even after the long years of grad school leading to my PhD (not that long ago) I have a great interest in medicine and becoming a physician is something I have always wanted to do. I have some of the prereqs for med school. I'm waiting until after our baby is born to really consider how I feel and how I want to spend my time.

Anyone else been in a similar situation? Other "MomPhDs" out there?

Beth

Hi Beth,

I'm not exactly a MomPhD, but I am getting a PhD and want to go to medical school afterward. By the time I am ready to apply, I will most likely be starting a family. I'm so glad that someone else is considering the same thing!
