MARY UPDATE Sep 2003!! Mary is now an MS1 and President of OldPremeds.org. Visit the site to follow up on her journey. Mary started pre-medical courses when her youngest son started kindergarten. The mother of two children, she has worked as a magazine editor and college instructor. She has earned both bachelor's and master's degrees in fine arts, and has exhibited her work in museums and galleries. Currently, she is taking the pre-med science/lab courses needed to prepare for the MCAT and working on a self-designed research project in maternal - fetal medicine. She also shadows her own doctor for one day per week. Mary is over 40 and will apply to medical school in 2002.
