Salaries typically can range from $150,000 to over $200,000 per year depending upon the facility, the geographic location, and the experience of the professional.

Those who choose to look for temporary work while they further their education, or those who wish to work only on a part time basis, could choose Locum Tenens work. This type of career would include on call work, work by the day or even up to work by the month. The exact availability of Locum Tenens work, salary and hours will be dependent upon the needs of the medical facility in question.
