figuring out how we'll survive

Hi - sorry about the delay in replying. I am planning on breastfeeding as well, and pumping once I go back. Our PD has been great so far (hopefully it stays that way once I actually go back). He told me to get in touch with the woman in charge of scheduling, and that I'll have first pick of setting up my schedule so that I can start with rotations that will be more friendly towards pumping. Like I said, I'm taking 12-weeks off, and then if I do 2 or 3 months of easier rotations I'll almost be at 6 months, so hopefully that works out.

I'm worried about taking so much time off though. I want to take the time off, and the PD seems to be completely okay with, but I almost feel guilty about taking that much time. I'm worried what my fellow residents will think, and I don't want them to think I'm a slacker. :(
