Hello. I just wanted to let you all know about the upcoming conference of the National Society for Nontraditional Premedical & Medical Students, Inc. conference which will be held June 8-11, 2006 in Washington, D.C. We are otherwise known as "OldPreMeds" and you can view the web site at www.oldpremeds.org.
OPM is an organization similiar to MomMD and has as their mission to bring together people from all walks of life who desire to become doctors. Members range from pre-meds all the way to medical residents and physicians. Although our focus is on the nontraditional student, we do not discriminate and all are welcome at our conference.
I apologize for the late post :boxedin: (is that the embarrased icon?) but wanted to let you know it is not too late to register for the conference. There's a $75 registration fee and $5 of your registration fee is going to the American Cancer Society.
This year, we have a great line-up of speakers, including Dr. Ken Iserson who wrote a landmark book on getting into residency. We will also have several medical schools present at our vendor fair as well as the major MCAT test prep companies for those of you who are premeds.
