What a relief to see this information!
I'm 32 years old so I keep wondering if I'm too old. I'm still trying to pay off my undergraduate degree :weeping: Lastly the dynamic of college loans etc has really been scaring me. I"ll keep reminding myself that 40 is the new 30, not sure why I'm so age-centric lately either. What the heck?! But this information is priceless and great to now!!!!
Keep the advice coming I'm definetly all ears...okay...well eyes.

For details on debt incurred by recent graduates of US schools, check out US News website:

www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/grad/webextras...b_med_debt_brief.php

These are 2004 figures, so it's increased since then.

If you don't have a family to support, I think you can make it fine on loans at most schools. It's tougher if you have kids, unless your spouse is working as well. Some schools will let you borrow extra money for daycare and dependent health insurance, but others don't, so it's always wise to check.
