The formal invitations that my program sends to us for dinners/parties etc always say "Dr. C and Mr. S"

I'm a hyphen, but use my maiden name almost exclusively.

Yep - DR and Mr is the proper way. My husband thinks its a hoot. It is really funny to see how uncomfortable this makes people, especially older proper women.

Oh - I remembered a funny story. My husband is in buisness and a female client tried to show her superiority in a dispute by refering to herself as Mrs Dr so and so. He repleied that he was Mr Dr so and so and she was speachless.

My neighbor is a retired Dentist and when he calls my house the caller ID says "Dr. A.... DDS" LOL!!! He likes to be called Dr more than Mr.

I'm planning to be called "Dr P..." (my first name) in the work place, and would like anyone to send me invitations, cards anything with Mrs/Señora :goodvibes:

We like to go by Mr. and Dr, although technically the correct way is Dr. and Mr. We'll usually get invitations and such as Mr. Husband and Dr. Wife. I think people aren't really sure what to do with the titles in this situation. One of my friends (also a non-doc married to a doc) says Mr. and Dr. sounds like a gay couple.
