I'm an MS3. I have 2 wonderful shadowing experiences at a local hospice, and I'm considering going into this field. I'll be doing either an IM or FM residency. I was told that hospice physicians have more flexibility in terms of how much time they can spend with each patient/the family, which sound very appealing. I was wondering if anyone knows on average how many hours a hospice phyician works. What about call schedule? I was also told that it is a family-friendly field. Anyone who can attest to that?
