I've heard of an interesting opportunity. A well-respected female primary care local doc with a panel of 2000 is moving. Community hospital is willing to sponsor another doc to take over her practice which is all set up, practice manager, nurses etc. There is hospital call but I'd assume relatively light. I heard she is only seeing 10-12 patients/day which is wonderful. Call is shared with other practices in the area. I would love to leave my employed position and have more autonomy (such as it is in medicine these days anyway) but with a 6 month old baby I would not want solo responsibility for a panel that size. Is anyone out there interested in looking into it further with me as a shared practice?
