Too old? Financial options?

Thanks everyone for the info. You know, I always thought and when I applied for financial aid for law school, that if your parents don't claim you as a dependent, you do not have to submit their tax info. Is it different for med school for some reason?
I still think I may have some problems financially. I can pay some debt off prior to med school, but I will still have a large mortgage payment and two car payments. I guess I should go to a couple schools and see what financial aid looks like for us second career people. I am, unfortunately, not independently wealthy.

It isn’t late for anything ever. If you decided to study till or planned to begin it now, that’s completely alright. We just have to plan for many things in life. One must be aware about the Cost Inflation Index, to keep up to it.
