Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) is seeking an experienced physician for the position of Chair of the Department of Pediatrics for the Lubbock campus. We are looking for an individual with proven administrative and financial leadership skills who enjoys direct patient care, teaching medical student and residents and inspires and energizes faculty and staff.

This position offers an exceptional opportunity to develop partnerships and will require strong communication skills, in order to maintain relationships with leaders of the Health Sciences Center, and our affiliated teaching hospitals, Covenant Medical Center and University Medical Center.
The Chair of Pediatrics reports to the Dean of the School of Medicine of TTUHSC. The Chair will be responsible for the full scope of the financial, academic and clinical activities of the department. The Department of Pediatrics provides a wide range of multidisciplinary patient care services. We are a physician led integrated system and the new Chair will help to define the Department’s goals, lead others and do incredible work. The new Chair will be part of a Department that truly improves the lives of individuals and communities. At TTUHSC we take the opportunity to do something remarkable every single day. The Chair will work with 44 physicians, 26 residents, 1 fellow, and 12 advanced practice providers.
